Kris Aquino says current legal battle is affecting her health

Kris Aquino revealed on Instagram that she has been quiet on social media lately as she is currently in the middle of a legal battle against an unnamed person who allegedly siphoned off money from her production company, KCAP.

Aquino said in an Instagram post dated September 22 that she has experienced “financial abuse and betrayal” from the person who used to take charge of her company and deal with her endorsements.

She said that she has lost a lot of weight due to stress, lack of appetite, and sleep deprivation because of the thought that she might lose millions of her hard-earned money after getting betrayed by a person she once trusted.

“In the 6 weeks that I quietly suffered because of financial abuse and betrayal we uncovered being done to me by someone I had complete trust and faith in, not to mention the millions he earned from running KCAP and negotiating my endorsements — the stress, inability to eat, and sleep properly caused my weight to drop to under 54 kilos.

“I apologize to all my endorsements and KCAP brand partners for paying the price of an unhealthy Kris Aquino struggling to again find her inner warrior,” she wrote on Instagram.

She said that she has already sought after the help of Atty. Sig Fortun and Atty. Florin Hilbay, and that she already had a lengthy meeting with them to discuss the problem.

In a separate Instagram post, Aquino said through a long caption that the incident has left her “broken”, but decided to share her experience with her followers to “set herself free”.

“My pain comes from my fear that tens of tax paid millions from my sons’ trust funds, money I conscientiously saved for them because I made a deathbed promise to my mom that Kuya Josh and Bimb will always come first. Baka mawala lahat ng pinagpaguran ko dahil sa kanila.

“It is wrong that the two boys I love the most, my life’s meaning and inspiration may suffer consequences because I was targeted and deceived by a person with no conscience.

She said that she will let her attorneys settle the problem and hope that justice will prevail.
