KZ Tandingan speaks up about her elimination on “Singer 2018”

The spoilers were true.

Filipino fans were saddened after KZ Tandingan was booted out of the famous Chinese singing competition, “The Singer 2018.”

Tandingan was eliminated from the competition after she ranked last with her rock-and-roll rendition of Lorde’s Grammy-award winning song “Royals”.

After the episode aired, Tandingan said that the results were out of her control since they were based on the audience members’ votes. Nevertheless, the 26-year-old said that she did everything that she could, and the she has no regrets whatsoever.

“I close my eyes because faith is seeing for me. I did everything I could, but the results are out of our control. I’m going home tomorrow with a happy heart. This won’t be the last time the world will hear a Filipino sing her heart out. Thank you Lord! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!” she wrote on Twitter.

Fans of Tandingan, both Filipinos and Chinese, expressed their love and support to the singer.

Regardless of the results, even British pop superstar and Tandingan’s competitor, Jessie J, was amazed with the talent that the Filipino singer showed.

It can be seen at one point that Jessie J was singing along and even gushed, “She’s amazing”, as they were watching Tandingan’s performance backstage.
