Mark Bautista revealed in his book “Beyond The Mark,” a secret that he has been keeping to the public for a long time.
In the said book, the 34-year-old performer disclosed that he had an “intimate relationship” with a male friend, reported PEP.
In one of the chapters of the book titled “FRIENDSHIFT,” Bautista said that he had a really close “bromance” with a certain “guy friend.”
There were times when the two of them got too close that they “gave into the temptations and got intimate with each other.”
However, after their intimate encounters, Bautista and his friend promised to never do it again.
They managed to keep their promise to each other until one night when the two of them got drunk.
He narrated that he once went to a club party with his girlfriend during that time. It just so happened that his “guy friend” was also one of the attendees.
When the party guests went home and the two had a little too much to drink, a friendly vow between them got broken.
“We then got so drunk that I ended up going home with him… I spent the night in his house and we became intimate,” he shared.
His girlfriend back then found out what happened the next day and, according to him, it “started a huge drama between the three of [them]. It became a spectacle.”
After that, several rumors started to quickly spread.
“I kept my silence and allowed myself to be hurt by all the rumors,” the singer said.
Because of what happened, Bautista was not able to defend himself because of his fear that situations might get worse, and to protect the reputation of his friend as well.
He also said that his friends’ treatment of him started to change following the rumors, and he and his “guy friend” no longer share the closeness that they had before.
Aside from his intimate relationship with his male friend, Bautista has more revelations in his book which will be sold in bookstores in the Philippines soon.
