Maxene Magalona seems to have the best Valentine’s Day ever among celebrities, as her two-year boyfriend got down on one knee at the Tokyo Dome in Japan of Feb. 14.
What did she reply? Her sweetest yes!
On Instagram, the Kapamilya actress wrote, “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
Then, she used the hashtag “Best Valentine’s Day ever.”
A few minutes after the couple announced their engagement via a series of posts on their social media accounts, Maxene’s sister Saab Magalona Bacarro tweeted:
“It was so hard to keep a secret from Maxx!!! I just want to hug my sister right now. Congratulations @maxenemagalona and @robmananquil”
The couple left for their favorite destination on February 11. The two also spent Christmas and New Year with Maxine’s family in Japan.
Hours prior to the proposal, Maxene and Robby had a pre-Valentine dinner at the famous Gonpachi, aka Kill Bill restaurant, with the latter’s parents Robert and Millet Mananquil.
The actress and the model/musician started going steady in September 2015.
Maxene then described her relationship with Robby as the “most meaningful yet.”
She said in an interview, “He makes me happy and he makes me laugh. It’s the simplest yet most meaningful relationship I’ve ever been in.”
