JLo flaunts Michael Cinco gown in ‘The Tonight Show’

Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer Michael Cinco has proudly shared on Instagram many photos of American music superstar Jennifer Lopez wearing his design.

The actress-singer wore the Sainte Chapelle-inspired hand-painted cape on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” last Tuesday. Lopez sang “Love Make the World Go Round,” a tribute song to the victims of the mass shooting that took place in Orlando, Florida last month that left 49 dead and 50 injured.

The intricately-designed creation came from Michael Cinco’s The Impalpable Dream of Sainte-Chapelle Collection Spring-Summer 2016 collection. Inspired by the medieval chapels of Paris, it took six months and a hundred pairs of hands to do the hand painting and embroidering 10,000 Swarovski colored crystals on the handmade silk.

Questlove, drummer and co-frontman of The Tonight Show’s in-house band The Roots, shared his awe of the performance and Lopez’s dress on Instagram saying:

I gotta say that #LinManuelMiranda’s nerdom is the coolest thing to witness ever. It’s so disarming even @JLo was in her most playful mood she’s ever been in on our #FallonTonight set. Here I caught a moment of him fixing then #StylinProfilin her (my guess 15 foot) train of a gown. We performed #LoveMakeTheWorldGoRound benefiting our brothers and sisters caught up in the Orlando tragedy. Great moment 2nite. Hope you guys watch it. @lin_manuel.

Cinco has dressed Lopez on several occasions, most recently at the 2015 American Music Awards.
