The daughter of an overseas Filipina worker (OFW) in Abu Dhabi shared an emotional message for her mother who she last saw when she was only ten.
OFW daughter, Rue, was one of the contestants in one of the segments of variety show Wowowin. During her interview with the host, Willie Revillame, Rue said that the last time she saw her mother was eight years ago.
Rue, now 18, said that her mother’s departure was hard for her since her father had passed away when she was only two.
Despite this, Rue said she understands her mother’s decision to fly to Abu Dhabi in hopes of providing a better life for her and her grandparents.
“Mommy, hello. Miss na miss na kita. Lahat po gagawin ko para sa inyo, para maging proud ka. Mahirap pong lumaki ng malayo sa inyo pero lalakasan ko yung loob ko para maging proud ka sa akin at para matupad ko ang mga pangarap ko. Gagawin ko ang lahat para matulungan kita at mabalik lahat ng pinaghirapan ninyo para sa akin,” Rue said.
“Hindi kita pababayaan kahit na anong mangyari. Mahal na mahal kita, Mommy. I miss you,” she added.
