A rare blood moon eclipse, which is believed to be the longest lunar eclipse of the century, will appear in the skies of the UAE tomorrow, July 27 at around 9:14 PM local time.
The said lunar eclipse will be sight to see that will also appear in several other places in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
Space.com also noted that this rare celestial display will coincide with the planet Mars reaching its closest distance to Earth since 2003.
It is also different from other types of eclipse since the moon is expected to turn deep red in color, instead of going completely dark.
Dubbed as the longest eclipse of the century, the moon will enter its eclipse phase at 9:14 PM UAE time and will last until 2:19 AM.
The peak eclipse time will take place at 12:21 AM.
The most recent eclipse took place last January 31. It was the super blood blue moon, a rare cosmic event which has not been in the skies in 36 years.
