Man who encouraged attacks on Prince George get life sentence

A man who is allegedly a supporter of the Islamic State group has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 25 years after encouraging assaults on 4-year-old Prince George of Britain, the eldest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The 32-year-old suspect named Husnain Rashid, a former teacher at a mosque from Nelson, Lancashire, initially said during the first part of his trial that he was innocent, but he later pleaded guilty on four counts of preparing terrorist acts and encouraging terrorism.

Reports stated that Rashid was accused of using the messaging site, Telegram, to call on supporters to target the 4-year-old heir to the throne.

He posted several suggestions of attacks which included a photo of Prince George and the address of his school in London.

Prosecutors said that he also urged a series of other attacks which includes targeting a British football stadium and injecting poison in ice cream that are bought in supermarkets.
