Beauty queen Vicky Rushton meets her father, siblings for the first time

Binibining Pilipinas 1st Runner Up Vickie Marie Rushton met her father’s family in Coventry, England for the first time after 26 years.

Rushton posted on Instagram a series of photos of her long-distance family and called it an “answered prayer.”

This is an answered prayer. As early as now I can say that my trip is already complete. After 26 years, I finally met my family on my father’s side. My heart was overwhelmed and I just cant explain what I felt when I saw my brother went out the door with arms wide open. I was speechless. I was shaking. I felt like crying and jumping at the same time. God is amazing. His timing is indeed perfect. I didn’t want to leave. It felt like home. For now I have to wait again till my next visit. If this is how it feels after a long wait, I don’t mind waiting at all. ♥️ Thank you baba for coming with me. ♥️

The Bacolod beauty wrote that she was overwhelmed with emotions upon seeing them and could not decide whether to jump or cry.

Rushton’s parents separated when she was eight and her father regretted leaving her.

The family’s welcome made Rushton immediately feel at home and the beauty queen is looking forward to her next visit.

“For now, I have to wait again till my next visit. If this is how it feels after a long wait, I don’t mind waiting at all.”
