To have a viral video on their YouTube channel, an American couple shot a video showing the wife firing a gun at her husband while he held a book as shield for the bullet.
But Pedro Ruiz, who believed a thick encyclopedia would protect him, was killed after his pregnant wife, Monalisa Perez, 19, fired a single shot at him from a .50-calibre Desert Eagle handgun turning the stunt into a tragedy on Monday.
The shooting in Minnesota, which was witnessed by onlookers, including the couple’s three-year-old child, did not go viral. Instead, Perez was charged with manslaughter for shooting Ruiz dead.
Perez had reservations on doing the stunt but did it anyway, firing the gun a foot away from her husband.
