UAE-based airlines Emirates and Etihad Airways placed fourth and eighth respectively in this year’s “best airlines in the world” list.
Skytrax, the aviation industry’s Oscars, announced on Tuesday the rankings for this year naming Qatar Airways as the best airline in the world based on customer satisfaction.
Qatar Airways was able to snatch the top spot despite the flight ban by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain.
Meanwhile, AirAsia was named best low-cost carrier for the ninth consecutive year.

5. Cathay Pacific
6. EVA Air
7. Lufthansa
8. Etihad Airways
