Inspectors of the Dubai Municipality have found that 91 percent of food establishments in the city are complying with hygiene regulation.
Consumer complexes, supermarkets and food warehouses that store Ramadan foodstuff were inspected and only eight of the sites did not meet the health requirements, Sultan Ali Al Tahir, Head of Food Inspection Section in Dubai Municipality, said.
Inspections will continue throughout Ramadan said Tahir.
“We will check both foodstuff storage and display of Ramadan food to ensure compliance with the requirements,” said Al Tahir, according to Emirates 24/7.
