Filipinos are known to be brand-loyal, be it with their choice of jeans, restaurants, even remittance centers.
And for this, every one of UAE’s estimated 50 big and small remittance centers have always been up their toes to get their share of the market – to the Pinoys’ advantage.
“If they get good quality service for their money, they will stay,” Instant Cash CEO Philip Daniel said. “Filipinos are a very brand loyal community,” he added.

Which is why they get something close to preferential treatment at times as VS Thampi, general manager at Leela Megh (LM) Exchange would say.
“We make sure that all our staff treat them with high priority and in a friendly manner,” he said.

Also concurring was Remitr co-founder Altaf Ahmed, who said Filipinos are “extremely loyal customers.”
The Remitr money transfer service is done in coordination with the Economic Exchange Centre, a service-oriented, customer-centric organization.
Daniel said Instant Cash sees “a very positive uplift in our volumes” because of the Filipino market, and would, thus “want to give back more (to them) in return.”

Mo Purple C. Juachon, senior relationship officer at Al Rostamani International Exchange, said that to further develop the Filipino market, the remittance company has introduced an instant credit to accounts with major banks like BDO.
“With this, the customer’s accounts will be credited even before they leave Al Rostamani International Exchange branches with SMS confirmation,” he said.
Instant Cash “intends to focus more on supporting our customers with our bank account transfers feature,” said Daniel.
Thampi said LM Exchange “makes sure the rates and services provided to Filipinos are the best in all aspects.”
He said the company has also been accepting payments for SSS, PAGIBIG and PhilHealth.

Rajiv Raipancholia, CEO at Orient Exchange, said the company “gives preferential rates to the customers and have branch-wise marketing plans to increase the footfall in our outlets,” he said.
Remitr is “adding new methods to receive money in Philippines in addition to adding new functionalities on app which are specific to Filipino users,” said Ahmed.
Sudhesh Giriyan, Xpress Money COO the Filipinos, the company has introduced the Xpress Money Rewards, a pioneering program that provides customers a guaranteed “cashback” each time they transact with the company.
