Beyoncé fans in Dubai were thrilled with a midnight sound check ahead of the singer’s highly anticipated $24 million invite-only concert taking place on Saturday, January 21 at Atlantis The Royal.
Social media users in the vicinity of the Atlantis The Royal resort uploaded footage of Beyoncé’s songs playing during the sound check, which featured solo singles “Naughty Girl,” “Halo,” “Spirit,” and “Freedom,” “Crazy in Love”, “Drunk in Love” as well as collabs with her husband Jay-Z.

This weekend’s event will be Beyoncé’s first full-length concert in five years, and it is expected to serve as a springboard for her forthcoming Renaissance Tour, which has fans scrambling for sold-out tickets. The invite-only performance is anticipated to draw a slew of A-list celebrities to the opulent resort, which boasts 231 luxury apartments, 693 hotel rooms, and 102 suites.
Saturday’s concert is keenly anticipated not just by fans but also by the music business. Lemonade, Beyoncé’s final original solo album, was published in 2016, while Renaissance, her most recent album, was released in July 2022. As a result, Beyoncé leads all nominees for the 2023 Grammys, making her the industry’s front-runner.
The WACO Theater’s Wearable Art Gala in October, when Beyoncé played several of her new songs, fuelled speculation of a Renaissance Tour. Fans have been waiting for the tour to be launched, and the Dubai event is likely to be the tour’s formal kickoff as per reports from TMZ.
