Dubai has announced that masks will no longer be required in public spaces starting from today, February 26.
Authorities announced that masks are still needed in all public events that take place indoors in Dubai.

The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management in Dubai, led by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, announced that COVID-19 preventive measures will be eased beginning Saturday, February 26th, 2022, in accordance with the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority’s (NCEMA) announcement on updates to COVID-19 precautionary measures in the UAE.
Close contacts of COVID-19 positive people who are symptom-free no longer need to quarantine as well.
Dubai-bound travelers will need to provide an official COVID-19 vaccination certificate with a QR code, among other revised travel requirements. Unvaccinated inbound travelers must present a negative PCR test result received within the past 48 hours or a COVID-19 certificate of recovery with a QR code obtained within one month of the date of travel.

The Supreme Committee expressed its appreciation for the cooperation shown by members of the community in combating the pandemic, which has accelerated recovery and restoration of normalcy in the emirate. The Committee said it will continue to work closely with all key federal and local entities, including NCEMA, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, and Dubai’s COVID-19 Command and Control Center (CCC) to support national efforts to maintain the highest levels of health and safety in the community.
