The Middle East’s first international museum conference will be held in Dubai in 2025. The emirate won the bid to host the world’s largest museum conference
The announcement for this was made in a tweet by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
He said that in 2025 the emirate will host the 27th International Council of Museums (ICOM) General Conference.
The first ICOM conference to be held in the Middle East will have at least 119 countries take part. It will cover over 20,000 international museums.
