The Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has said that it has repatriated over 280 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from Doha, Qatar.
In the second repatriation flight from Qatar for the month of August, the flight brought home OFWs including four pregnant women.

The Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs (OUMWA) and the Philippine Embassy in Doha (Doha PE) were also part of repatriation.
More than 500 overseas Filipino workers from Qatar were repatriated this month.
Sarah Lou Y. Arriola, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs, said that the arrival was part of the DFA’s efforts in fulfilling its primary duty of providing “prompt and commensurate assistance to our distressed nationals abroad.” (AW)
