Driver faces AED 10,000 penalty for harassing woman, drunk driving in Dubai

The Dubai Traffic Court found a man guilty of driving under the influence of alcohol from Abu Dhabi to Dubai and harassing a woman.

The Court imposed a fine of AED 10,000 on him and also ordered the suspension of his driving license for three months.

The incident was reported in March this year when the 30-year-old driver who had consumed alcohol while on his way from Abu Dhabi to Dubai harassed a woman who was passing by.

The woman was in the parking lot when she faced harassment as the convict was driving by.

The Dubai Police identified the car number through surveillance cameras and the watchman identified the driver who during questioning admitted to having consumed alcohol. A breathalyzer test confirmed that he was drunk. (AW)
