WATCH: Abu Dhabi showcases preparations for five-minute Corniche fireworks display

Filipinos and residents planning to enjoy fireworks displays can now anticipate a five-minute colorful fireworks show at Abu Dhabi’s Corniche area this December 31.

A video from the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office showcases the preparations of their team of over 20 experts in preparing the fireworks display that will be livestreamed for the public.

Residents who wish to watch the live broadcast can tune in at Abu Dhabi TV and Emarat TV or livestream via the UAE_BARQ official Instagram page.

Apart from the show at Corniche, there will also be fireworks displays at the Yas Island, Al Maryah Island promenade, as well as the official Guinness World Record attempt at the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival at Al Wathba.

The 35-minute show at Al Wathba will break two Guinness World Records for “The largest straight-line fireworks display” and “The world’s first longest ‘Girandola’ show”

Residents are advised to take note of the following precautionary measures across all fireworks shows for December 31:

• Avoid crowds
• Participate in events only within the same family
• Wear face masks at all times
• Maintain physical distance (at least 2 meters)
• Wash and sanitize your hands constantly
• People with chronic diseases and the elderly are advised to stay home
• Do not participate in events in case of any illness symptoms

Authorities advise that those who fail to adhere to any of the preventive measures above will face fines and legal consequences.
