A woman in Taiwan saved the life of her colleague whose heart stopped beating via cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR); the latter, however, got enraged after she sustained minor bruises on her chest and arms.
In a report by Asia One, a woman identified only as Chu, spent 15 minutes performing CPR on her workmate who fainted, wasn’t breathing, and whose heart stopped beating.
She managed to resuscitate the woman. However, the colleague texted her and questioned how she got the bruises.
“How much strength did you use? My wound is very big,” she texted Chu.
Reports said that Chu, pissed off at the question, replied: “Are you blaming me for exerting too much strength during CPR?”
The colleague also told her that she was concerned about the wounds because she has diabetes, and that the bruises could get infected and lead to amputation. She also threatened to sue her, saying that she pressed on her so hard that she sustained heart problems.
“I can get a doctor to prove that you injured me during CPR,” she added.
In a Facebook post, Chu aired her frustration at her “ungrateful” colleague, saying she did chest compressions to save her, even if she got tired. She added that she also had emergency medical technician certification.
