His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, has ordered the release of a number of prisoners, serving various jail sentences in punitive and corrective institutions in the emirate, on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
The move comes as part of Sheikh Saud’s keenness to give pardoned inmates an opportunity to start a new life and bring about joy to their families.

Earlier, President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 515 prisoners on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has also ordered the release of 203 prisoners from Dubai’s correctional and punitive establishments ahead of Eid Al Adha.
The UAE’s rulers across the seven emirates provide prisoners with the opportunity to reintegrate themselves into society and hopes to alleviate the hardships of each prisoner’s families.
