The Dubai Economy has imposed strict regulations for the upcoming Ramadan season which includes the prohibition of gatherings for prayers, as well as other private events that will host more than 10 people in a single location, such as weddings, parties, etc.
This forms part of the social and cultural restrictions and protocols as Dubai eases restrictions on the first phase of the reopening of the emirate.
Here are the instructions and guidelines for the public:
– Gathering for prayers is not allowed
– Group prayers among immediate household members is conditional that they live in the same house
– No gatherings of over 10 people in private places, include no weddings, funerals, etc
– Social distancing should be implemented during gatherings of less than 10 people and physical contact such as handshaking, hugging, etc is not allowed
– Highly advised that gatherings are few and are restricted to extended family members or very close friends during futoor/suhoor
Earlier, the Dubai Economy also announced that it will be reopening the Dubai Metro from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm but has yet to officially announce any dates.
