It will be a heartwarming reunion for 11 distressed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families this Valentine’s Day.
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on February 14 sent them home from Dubai.
Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Brigido Dulay said the repatriated OFWs were victims of human trafficking.
Dulay added that the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai settled the exit visas, immigration penalties, and airfare of repatriated OFWs.
The Consulate also provided shelter for the migrant workers before they return to the Philippines.
