A Japanese airline is giving out 50,000 free airline tickets to those who plan to visit Japan in 2020.
However, there’s a catch.
You can only know the destination you will be visiting only a few days after you apply on the website of Japan Airlines (JAL): https://www.jal.co.jp/en/jmb/japan-promotion/.
Also, to win the free tickets, travelers must be registered outside of Japan with the flag carrier’s Mileage Bank frequent flier program.
The goal of the promotion of this airline is for visitors to also explore other areas in Japan.
In a separate report by CNN, it also said that the promo also aims to take the strain off Tokyo as it will host the Olympic Summer Games.
According to the airline’s website, they will provide roundtrip tickets for domestic flights that will either depart to and from Tokyo (Haneda) and Osaka (Itami/Kansai).
You can even apply to travel with your friends and family of up to four people.
How does this work?
Applications will open late in February 2020. The travel period is from July 1 to September 30, 2020.
