A 20 year-old Emirati student died on the spot after his 4-wheeler vehicle flipped on Al Ain road this weekend.
The young driver was identified as Sultan Saeed Khalfan Al Shamsi. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the tragic accident Police officials have yet to release more details on the Emirati’s death.
His family told Khaleej Times that the driver was a college student. “(We are) devastated by the sudden death. He was a friendly and humble young man and everyone loved him,” the family said in a statement.
His funeral was held at the Martyr Omar Al Maqbali mosque. He was laid to rest at the Umm Ghafah cemetery in Al Ain after the Isha prayer. (Trish Tan) (File photo and not that of the accident)
