TV and game show host Willie Revillame took helicopter flying lessons, in his bid to help Filipinos in times of calamity.
“Who knows, in the future, huwag naman sana, kulang ng piloto, makatulong ako sa emergency. Kung may mga disaster, I can help,” Revillame said in an interview with Pep.ph
Revillame revealed his excitement on learning to fly a helicopter and the feeling of being a ‘student’ again.
“Nakakapagpalipad na pero meron pa akong kasama na kumbaga, instructor na pilot. Ako na yung nagte-take off, nagla-landing,” Revillame said.
The TV host said that he has yet to undergo tests to get his license before being authorized to fly a helicopter.
Revillane also said that he is using two kinds of helicopter for his training.
“Ang ginagamit kong chopper ngayon, meron akong R44, saka R66. Nabili ko ‘yon, yun ang turbine, malakas yung makina, almost everyday nagpa-practice ako,” Revillame explained.
