A visitor who attempted to travel with fake documents was arrested by authorities at the Dubai Airport.
The public prosecution states that airport authorities had initially suspected that the defendant had been illegally travelling – with tickets bought two days prior to his flight without any baggage.
When an airport official checked his passport at the departure gate, they found out that the document was printed using normal ink only with no official marks from the issuing authority, as per a report from Khaleej Times.
In addition, the officer also noticed a fake entry stamp on the passport.
The public prosecution has since referred the 30-year-old man’s case to the criminal court for forgery.
