Jim Paredes has found himself in hot water once again after a photo of him with the alleged uploader of the controversial “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series surfaced online.
It can be recalled that Paredes became a trending topic on social media a month ago when his private video leaked online.
The veteran singer has since owned up to his mistake and apologized for the release of his video scandal but that did not stop online bashers from criticizing him.
Since then, Paredes, who is a known Duterte critic, has seemingly been inactive on social media but that did not spare him from getting bashed once again when a photo of him and Rodel Jayme, the alleged uploader of the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” video series, made the rounds on social media.
Because of this, many netizens accused Paredes of “supporting and proliferating fake news”.
Last week, the National Bureau of Investigation said that Jayme has been arrested due to cyberlibel.
The “Totoong Narcolist” videos, which became a talked about topic on social media, show a hooded man named “Bikoy” accusing President Rodrigo Duterte and his family of having involvement in the big-time illegal drug trade in the Philippines.
Authorities also clarified that Jayme and Bikoy are not the same person.
Paredes has yet to address the issue.
