Police are now looking into the death of an electrical technician after his family filed a complaint against the company he worked for and reported that the victim had sprayed toxic pesticides for almost three hours day before he died.
The victim’s brother narrated to Saudi Gazette that his brother had been working for a pesticide shop as an electrical technician for over 27 years.
The technician was asked by the company to disinfect their headquarters using the chemical pesticides that he had purchased from the shop. He followed the company’s orders and sprayed the chemicals in the firm’s headquarters.
After nearly three hours of spraying, the victim encountered difficulty in breathing, high fever and serious body pain which led the family to take him to a private hospital. Few hours later, the family transferred him to another hospital where the victim died due to acute bleeding of the lungs.
Although the hospital has not clarified the cause of the victim’s death, his friends later told the family about the incident that happened day before his death.
The company has yet to comment on the complaint.
