The Department of Tourism is reviving its Bring Home a Friend (BHAF) program to attract more overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to revisit their home country as well as encourage more foreign visitors to visit the Philippines.
The incentive program aims to enlist the help of sponsors (balikbayans and expatriates) to get invitees (foreign nationals) to visit the Philippines, Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo announced on Tuesday, September 19.
The program, introduced by former DOT Secretary Mina Gabor in 1994, will be relaunched on October 14 and will run for six months.
The project will be launched in eight major source markets – Dubai, UAE; New York, USA; Los Angeles, USA; San Francisco USA; Seoul, South Korea; Tokyo, Japan; Vancouver, Canada; and London, United Kingdom.
HOW TO BE A SPONSOR
Must be a Filipino with a Philippine passport / with dual citizenship living in the Philippines or abroad as a resident or OFW ;
A foreigner living in the Philippines temporarily or permanently for a minimum of six months prior to the raffle or
Institutions, corporations, and associations in the Philippines
INVITEE QUALIFICATIONS
Must hold a foreign passport ;
A dual citizen living abroad for a minimum of six months prior to the event
*The invitee must have traveled to the Philippines during the specified period of time
*Relatives to the third degree (great-grandparents, great grandchildren, great uncles/aunts, and first cousins) are not allowed to join

1st Prize: Condominium
2nd Prize: Car
3rd Prize: Gift certificates from Duty Free Philippines
For the invitee:
1st Prize: Two round trip international business class tickets plus two round trip domestic tickets to Palawan
2nd Prize: Two round trip international premium economy tickets plus two round trip domestic tickets to Cebu
3rd Prize: Two round trip international economy tickets plus two round trip domestic tickets to Davao
To join, the Sponsor and Invitee must accomplish the registration via the Bring Home a Friend microsite accessible via the Department’s website http://web.tourism.gov.ph/ or through booths located at specific airports.
