Abu Dhabi Municipality has issued notices and fined some residents for violating the health and hygiene regulations.
The violators were slapped with Dh1,000 fine for drying laundry outside their homes or on their balconies and balustrades. Repeat offenders can face fines worth double the penalty amount, reported The National.
The municipality’s multi-lingual poster information campaign that “intended to educate residents on these violations, and encourage them to work jointly with the municipality to upgrade the aesthetic appearance of our cities”, has suggested residents to use electric driers and clothes drying racks, the report said.
