Filipino nurses seeking employment abroad may now look into Germany and Russia, as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced that the two countries are in need of around 22,000 nurses.
Labor Undersecretary Dominador Say said that the monthly salary will be at least P150,000.
The hired nurses can also bring their families to live with them in the two countries.
Last year, The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) announced job openings in Germany and Japan for nurses and caregivers.
According to GMA News, Philippines and the Federal Government of Germany’s “Triple Win Project” opened these job opportunities for Filipinos. The Triple Win Project between the Philippines and Germany aims to address the latter’s shortage of nurses by hiring professionals from the Philippines, Serbia, Bosnia, and Herzegovina.
Meanwhile, applicants for the said nursing positions must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a valid Philippine Nursing license.
Interested applicants may go to the office of the Department of Labor and Employment in the next few weeks for the hiring requirements.
