Just like how a Filipino transgender singer changed his name from Charice Pempengco to Jake Zyrus in 2017, singer-song writer Aiza Seguerra wishes for people to call him Ice Seguerra from now on.
The singer also emphasized coming out to public three times already; hence, he doesn’t want to be referred to as a “she” and a “her.”
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the chairperson of the National Youth Commission reiterated his sexual orientation as a transgender man.
“This is how I see myself and I would appreciate if people around me, especially family and friends, will respect that. If you do not understand kung ano ang transman, PM me and I will gladly explain.”
“Please refrain from calling me Ate, Tita, Sis, Ninang, Senyora, Ma’am, at ang favorite ko sa lahat Madame. Also, please call me Ice.”
Meanwhile, fans have taken his post positively by expressing their acceptance and continuous support to the singer in the comment section.
