Pia Wurtzbach will wear a Michael Cinco creation on her final walk in Ms U tomorrow.
DUBAI: Michael Cinco is one of the most iconic fashion designers of his generation. The Dubai-based couturier has dressed Hollywood A-listers, royalties, most promising celebrities in the Philippines and just recently, the world’s most beautiful woman, Pia Wurtzbach.
In an exclusive interview with The Filipino Times, Cinco shared how Wurtzbach herself insisted that he dress her up on her last day as Ms. Universe.
If you can remember, during the Miss Universe preliminary competition on Jan. 26, 2017 at the Mall of Asia, Philippines, Wurtzbuch surprised the crowd as she donned a Michael Cinco terno and barong. A piece first seen on Cinco’s first-ever stint in Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2016.

“It’s a pride and honour to dress up the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach. I have been asked last year by the Miss Universe organization to create a special dress for her final walk,” Cinco said.
“I refused and told them I can’t do that because I was very busy,” Cinco said. “But I received a personal message from Pia, herself, and she persuaded me to make a dress for her final walk,” he added.
Cinco said Wurtzbach is “confidently beautiful with a heart.”
