The Philippine President showed his approach to parenting when he prodded son Sebastian “Baste” Duterte to enter the Philippine Military Academy instead of going out and about allegedly looking for potential lady loves.
Digong’s jab came while delivering a speech during the graduation ceremonies of the Philippine National Police Academy. “Yung Sebastian na wala din ginawa kung ‘di mag hanap din ng babae, sana pumunta na lang ‘yan sa PMA para mabugbog doon,” Duterte said, as quoted by ABS-CBN News.
The 71-year-old is known to call out his kids, especially his youngest, on certain behaviors he finds unacceptable.
Just earlier this year, he also openly spoke about Baste right after his controversial relationship and eventual split with actress Ellen Adarna.
The President also criticized his son publicly for allegedly not providing financial support to his kids.
Aside from talking about his familial issues, Duterte also announced that the government is planning to not only continue but also improve on the benefits families of killed cops.
