UAE residents who wish to enter Abu Dhabi and intend to only get tested through the rapid COVID-19 laser test now need to set an appointment.
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee announced that the website: https://ghantoot.quantlase.com/appointment/update-details/ is now available to cater to residents who wish to enter the emirate.
“Due to high demand for the laser-based DPI screening to enter #AbuDhabi, the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis & Disasters Committee approved a new process in which the service provider will only offer screening based on pre-booked appointments,” said the entity as per an announcement from the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office.

A huge surge of individuals who intend to enter Abu Dhabi has caused the laser testing facility to temporarily close last July 15, Wednesday. Each rapid COVID-19 test costs only Dh50 per person.
Those who present their negative coronavirus test through any of the COVID-19 testing centres within 48 hours as announced earlier need not undergo the same test and will be allowed entry to Abu Dhabi.

This laser-based Diffractive Phase Interferometry (DPI) testing is an alternative testing method that uses laser technology to detect COVID-19 infections in just a few seconds.
Quantlase Imaging Lab, part of Abu Dhabi investment firm International Holdings Company (IHC) led the low-cost, non-invasive laser testing technology that would allow for efficient and cost-effective mass testing in the country.
