Sharjah Deputy Ruler passes away; 3-day mourning declared

Sheikh Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, passed away in London on Thursday, July 9.
The Court of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, mourned the passing of the emirate’s deputy ruler. A three-day mourning period has been announced in the emirate where all UAE flags will be flown at half-mast when the remains arrive in the emirate.
The Ruler’s Court expressed its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, asking Allah to rest the deceased’s soul in Paradise and hopes to grant the family the strength it needs during this time.
Condolences will only be received through phone calls as part of the country’s preventive measures against the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The telephone numbers will be announced at a later time.
