UAE reports more hospitals now rid of COVID-19 cases

The UAE’s frontliners have shown their commitment to help the country towards its full recovery against the spread of the coronavirus disease with more hospitals reporting that they are now rid of COVID-19.
Here’s a list of areas and their respective hospitals which are now COVID-19 free:
Abu Dhabi
The Mubadala Healthcare network of facilities today received the official ‘COVID-19-free’ designation conferred by the Department of Health-Abu Dhabi, DoH, ensuring that its hospitals and centres are fully ready to deliver the medical care most needed by the community, while adhering to all mandated precautionary measures to keep patients safe.
During a tour of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Acting Undersecretary of the DoH commented: “While Mubadala Healthcare has contributed significantly to supporting the UAE’s strategy to beat COVID-19, we are entering the ‘new normal’ of community health to deliver the healthcare services that patients now need the most, in a secure, coordinated, and empathetic effort.”
Patient safety is the highest priority across Mubadala Healthcare, with Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Healthpoint, and Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, ICLDC, resuming their most sought-after medical services while staff and patients stringently follow all precautionary measures including mask-wearing, physical distancing, and temperature scans.
Abu Dhabi – Al Ain area
DoH continues to highlight success stories in the fight against COVID-19, and has confirmed that Tawam Hospital in Al Ain has no cases now, and is ready to return to its normal routine, providing healthcare services to all members of the community.
The milestone was reached thanks to the consistent efforts of the healthcare sector and testing in line with the National Screening Programme, which has drastically reduced the number of cases requiring medical care.
Abu Dhabi – Al Dhafra area
DoH has also confirmed that all Al Dhafra Hospitals are completely free of COVID-19 cases. Madinat Zayed, Dalma, Al Marfa, Ghayathi, Liwa, Al Sila, and Ruwais Hospitals continue to provide their specialized and full healthcare services to all patients and customers.
The milestone was reached thanks to the consistent efforts of the healthcare sector and testing in line with the National Screening Programme, which has drastically reduced the number of cases requiring medical care.
Ras Al Khaimah
The Sheikh Khalifa Specialty Hospital, SKSH, in Ras Al Khaimah, one of the initiatives of the UAE President, announced that it has no patients with confirmed coronavirus cases.
Dr. Chang Suk Suh, CEO of the hospital, stated that was the result of the significant national efforts carried out since the start of the crisis, as well as the constant monitoring by the UAE’s leadership and its strategy to support the national testing programme and promote preventive measures, leading to the early detection of cases, adoption of treatment protocols and increased recoveries.
Dr. Chang also praised the role of relevant national authorities, volunteers and medical teams in addressing the crisis, noting that since the World Health Organisation, WHO, declared the virus a global pandemic, the hospital has adopted the required preventive measures to protect patients, visitors, medical staff and workers.
