The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Monday confirmed 52 more Filipinos abroad who contracted COVID-19, bringing the total number to 1,395.
DFA also logged 49 new recoveries and one new death among Filipino nationals in Europe and the Middle East region.
According to the DFA, the total number of Filipino COVID-19 patients who recovered remains higher than the total number of fatalities by 104% for the past month.
The death toll now stands at 186 while the recoveries soar to 380.
The Foreign Affairs said 829 Filipinos abroad are undergoing treatment.
Europe accounts for 441 COVID-19 cases followed by the Americas with 327 cases.
Asia Pacific region tallied 328 Filipinos with COVID-19 while Middle East or Africa registered 299 cases.
The DFA said it continues to update the public about the status of our nationals across the globe.
“The Department, through its Foreign Service Posts, likewise remains vigilant and committed in assisting our people in this fight against the COVID-19 pandemic,” it said.
