The world continues to feel the impact of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as it has recently passed two million cases, for a total of 2,006,513 as of 6:54 PM.
Out of this number, 609,696 are confirmed cases from the United States, followed by Spain (177,633) and Italy (162,488).
The UAE has 4,933 cases while the Philippines reported 5,453 as of today, April 15.
Deaths:
Total number of deaths around the world stand at 128,886, majority of which are from Italy at 21,067 casualties. This is closely followed by Spain (18,579) and France (15,729).
There are 28 casualties in the UAE, while the Philippines has 349 deaths.
Recoveries:
Recoveries around the world also passed the 500,000 mark, with 501,206 in total who have fully recovered from the disease.
China stands with the most number of recoveries at 78,307, followed by Germany (72,600) and Spain (70,853).
Health officials around the world continue to urge the public to practice frequent handwashing and proper physical distancing. The UAE even asked those who will be arriving from outdoors to shower and completely sanitize themselves and their belongings upon arrival at home.
