The COVID-19 cases in the Philippines have surpassed the 5,000-mark after the Department of Health (DOH) reported 291 new cases on Tuesday.
The latest figure lifts the total number of cases in the country to 5,223.
DOH registered 20 new deaths raising the death toll to 335.
Meanwhile, more recoveries were reported compared to deaths after 53 patients recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 295.
