Briton charged for making, selling fake COVID-19 treatment kits

A British national was arrested then charged for making fake treatment kits for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Reuters reported.
Fifty-nine year-old Frank Ludlow from West Sussex, was also sending these kits to the United States.

The police said the fake kits are thought to contain harmful chemicals, namely: potassium thiocyanate and hydrogen peroxide.
He was arrested after the joint investigation of the City of London Police’s Intellectual Property Crime Unit (PIPCU), the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Ludlow was charged with one count of fraud by false representation, one count of possession of articles for use in fraud, and one count of unlawfully manufacturing a medicinal product.
