Food and Beverage giant San Miguel Corporation (SMC) announced that it will provide free alcohol and disinfectants to local government units amid the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
San Miguel President Ramon Ang said the production of disinfectants has commenced in one of its Ginebra San Miguel Facility for its workers over the weekend.

“This is so our facilities and our own employees will not be taking away from the already limited supply that’s available to the public. Our main intention is to get this to our government and healthcare providers at the soonest possible time,” he said
Ang intends to donate the alcohol to government hospitals in bulk, in 20-liter containers and 1,000-liter tanks.
“We have the means and the capability to produce this and make it available for free to LGUs and public hospitals,” Ang said.
