First Filipino recovers from COVID-19 in PH, confirmed cases now at 142

The Department of Health has revealed that a 46-year-old man recovered from the coronavirus disease or COVID-19.
He is the third case to have recovered from the virus, according to the DOH.
The total number of confirmed cases has climbed to 142. It is unclear if Senator Migz Zubiri is among the new list of confirmed cases.
The newly recovered patient was admitted last March 5 at a hospital in Manila after manifesting cough and fever on February 25.
He tested positive for COVID-19 on March 9.
Two tests then found him negative, leading medical experts to discharge him.

The first two recovery cases in the country were Chinese tourists.
“While this is a very welcome development, there is no reason for us to be complacent,” the DOH said in a statement.
The two new cases involved two men aged 60 and 50.
