Authorities found the body a two-year-old kid burned to death in Maigo town in Lanao del Norte on Sunday.
The two-year-old kid was killed by his mother’s 55-year-old boyfriend. Initial reports revealed that the suspect and the boy’s mother had a fight prior to the crime.

Maigo Municipal Police Station Officer-in-charge Lt. Baltazar Deguilmo told ABS-CBN News that the suspect was drunk and accused the boy’s mother of stealing Php14,000.00.
The suspect then pulled the woman from her work but she was able to escape and sought help.

When she returned, she saw the suspect burning her two-year-old kid.
Authorities are still investigating the incident. The suspect is now facing murder charges and Anti-Child abuse law.
