A Kuwaiti father saved his new born daughter from being slaughtered by his Ethiopian housemaid at the nick of time when he returned home after finishing work early, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The man told police he has just stepped into his house when he heard the baby screaming in her bed room in the second floor.
He rushed upstairs and found the angry maid holding a kitchen knife over the baby’s neck trying to slaughter her, according to Al Anba daily.
He jumped on the maid and grabbed the knife off her just before she was about to stab the infant in her neck, the paper said.
Police arrested the maid for interrogation to determine her motive for the attempted murder, the paper said, adding that the baby was rushed to hospital with a wound on her neck.
