An Indian vendor is slated to receive the Court of Instance’s verdict on the molestation case filed against him by the parents of a 10-year-old girl in Dubai.
In a shocking revelation of the victim’s mother, she said her daughter met the suspect in their building’s elevator.
The girl was shocked but could not scream for help when the suspect, 23, allegedly covered her mouth by his hand and groped her in the elevator, reported Khaleej Times.
It was not however clear if there was an installed CCTV in the elevator which could be used against the suspect, who was living together with other supermarket employees in an accommodation on the same floor.
The mother said the poor girl was trembling when she returned to their flat.
They immediately called the police and filed a complaint at Al Qusais police station when they confirmed from security footage of the building that the suspect came out of the lift followed by their daughter.
