The World Health Organization Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (WHO-EMRO) in Dubai will be sending medical supplies for health workers in some countries affected by the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019 nCoV), Khaleej Times reported.
The supplies are for infection prevention and control of the deadly coronavirus that has affected at least 22 countries.
About 6,000 Health workers in selected countries will be provided with emergency medical supplies such as gloves, masks, gowns, and sanitizers.
The first batch of supplies, earmarked for the Philippines, has been shipped on Tuesday.
The health workers are in the front line of the global effort to stop the spread of the 2019 nCoV as they identify, diagnose and treat patients.
