BREAKING: DOH: 30 patients tested negative for nCoV

Department of Health said Monday 30 persons under investigation (PUIs) in the Philippines tested negative from novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV ARD).
“To date, ang ating pong Research Institute for Tropical Medicine ay kinukumpirma ang 30 PUIs bilang negative for the 2019-nCoV tests,” Health Secretary Francisco Duque III revealed at a press conference.
The health chief said that they have expanded the scope of PUI — adding the patients who had travel history to any part of China to the list suspected case.
“Hindi lang po ito Wuhan, Hubei. Buong China na po,” he stressed.
Duque added that the number of PUIs in the country grew to 80, 48 of which are waiting for the results of their laboratory tests.
“Ito pong pagtaas ng ating PUIs ay nangangahulugan na ang ating pong pagmamatiyag o surveillance ay atin nang napaunlad. Ganoon din po ang contact tracing natin,” Duque pointed out.
The Philippines has reported two confirmed cases of novel coronavirus, one of which died last Saturday—the first death outside China.
