The Philippine Embassy in UAE and the Emirates Red Crescent have officially launched their campaign to aid over 200,000 displaced families affected by the Taal volcano eruption.
Filipinos in the UAE who have yet to provide aid for victims of the ash fall can now course their donations — in kind or financial, through any of the Emirates Red Crescent branches.

The aid drive initiative stems from a strategic meeting held last January 20, 2020 between Philippine Ambassador to UAE, H.E. Hjayceelyn M. Quintana and Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi.
Ambassador Quintana thanked Dr. Al-Falahi and the whole UAE for their readiness to provide assistance to all the victims and for the continued support to the citizens of the Philippines especially during this situation. Ambassador Quintana said “Our Emirati brothers and sisters and ERC have always been there for us during difficult times”, recalling how the ERC has given assistance to the Philippines in the past when natural calamities strike, including Typhoon Haiyan.
